413 Universal Scratch Tester

All test methods for this instrument follow the same sequence: the sample is clamped on a turntable (standard speed 5 min^-1). The test tool is fixed to a pivoting arm with an adjustable weight, so the force applied to the sample can be set. The sample's resistance to this movement is assessed visually from the line marks (the operating instructions give the assessment method in detail).
